Children who join in Year 5 often feel more connected and prepared when they reach Year 7, having already established strong routines and relationships.
Early access to leadership opportunities
Leadership is about character and contribution, not just titles — and it’s something we value deeply at ICS. Students who join in Year 5 can take part in meaningful leadership opportunities across both Year 5 and Year 6, including buddy programs with younger students, assembly involvement, public speaking, student voice initiatives, classroom leadership roles, and Junior School leadership roles in Year 6. Starting earlier gives us time to understand your child’s strengths and help them flourish in these roles.
