On November 28, an intrepid band of ICS scientists braved torrential rain and wind to trek to the University of Wollongong for the 2018 Science Fair. Their efforts were amply rewarded!
Our school entered seven Stage 3 projects, five Stage 4 projects and three stage 5 projects in the Fair.
Despite the rain and crazy weather, all students conducted themselves beautifully. They spoke with confidence about their scientific research projects.
Congratulations are especially in order to Sebastian Golding (Year 8) who took out 1st Place for his project, entitled “Sound Extinguisher”.
Six projects were also awarded Highly Commended which means they were among the best projects on display.
