The school has two separate uniforms—one for normal activities and one for sport. The pieces of the two uniforms are not interchangeable. School uniform items such as jumpers cannot be worn with the sports uniform, and no parts of the sports uniform can be worn with the school uniform. It should be noted that this also applies to the tracksuit top, which can only be worn with the sports uniform.
Girls’ school skirts or dresses are required to be below knee length. Secondary boys are required to wear the school tie in winter. Their top button should be done up and the tie worn so that it sits neatly over that button.
Students are welcome to wear scarves and gloves in cold weather. These accessories must be black. The school also has a blazer available. In the case of very cold weather, students should wear additional layers such as thermals under their school clothing, rather than adding non-uniform items over their uniforms.
We would appreciate your assistance in ensuring students are dressed in accordance with the uniform policy and appropriately for weather conditions. This will allow teachers to focus on student learning rather than uniform issues. Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Jo Fahey if you have any queries about uniform requirements.
